New Features

Screen Capture

URL Profiler can now take a snapshot and capture each URL. The captures are saved as PNG files into a folder located in a correspondingly named folder as your report (this will make sense when you try it). The uses for this feature are endless, from competitive profiling to link prospecting.

This feature is resource heavy, so URL Profiler throttles to connections; there is a maximum of 5 for Solo and Pro versions and 10 for the agency version when run on a server.

Bing Outbound Link Statistics (Proxies Recommended)

You can thank Nick Garner from 90 Digital for this one. URL Profiler can now use Bing’s linkfromdomain command to retrieve the number of links a domain is linking out to, and, using this, works out the average links per page using indexed pages. This can be really handy when link prospecting or when carrying our forensic work.

Returned Data:

  • Bing Indexed Pages
  • Bing Outbound Links
  • Bing Links Per Page

Malware Check (Proxies Recommended)

Uses Google’s Safe Browsing API to check if a domain contains malware, or has been reported of phishing. The API is free to use, but you’ll need to sign up for an API key. Once you’ve created you’re key, you’ll need to add it to the Google section in the accounts panel.

Google Last Date Cached (Proxies Recommended)

Another requested feature. We were reluctant to add this, but have succumbed to the sheer number of requests. The feature should NEVER be used without proxies; otherwise Google will block your IP address within a short period of time. It does use our new IP Protection algorithm, but we’d still recommend you use at least 100 proxies.

IP Protection

We’ve added an algorithm to reduce the chances of getting your IP address, or proxies, being banned or blocked by Bing and Google. Unlike Scrapebox you can’t control the delay or the number of connections, the tool will do this based on the number of proxies and URLs. If you’re in a rush, we’d recommend at least 100 proxies.

If you want reliable fresh proxies daily, try Proxygo‘s scrapebox service on BHW – cheap as chips.

Bug Fixes

Nothing that you’d notice – just some internal refactoring and optimisation.
